Swiss Diamond XD Non-Stick Cookware

We all need a great non-stick pan in the kitchen, but as you have probably discovered, they don't often last long.

When I was asked if I wanted to trial the new XD range of Swiss Diamond non-stick cookware I was sceptical.

The XD line is the latest and most advanced range from the brand. It provides a significantly tougher cooking surface with better non-stick properties.

We tested the Classic 24cm Frypan and the Classic Braiser w/ Lid.

In summary, this new line is:

  • Diamond reinforced, PFOA-free non-stick: featuring real diamonds for trouble free cooking and easy cleaning
  • Lab-tested coating: stayed reinforced after 12K sandpaper strokers compared to 1K for standard 3-layer non-stick cookware, 4.5K for titanium
  • Maneuverability: comfortable, ergonmonic handles are designed to stay cool on stovetops and are oven safe up to 260'C
  • Durability: extra thick, cast aluminium body, perfectly flat base
  • Energy efficiency: the diamond reinforcing (conducts heat quickly) combined with cast aluminium ensures best heat transfer and the heat setting never has to rise over low-medium.

The results: PURE MAGIC

This range is a real pleasure to cook with. In fact, the products we tested are so good, we cleared out our existing pans which were no longer non-stick and now we only use these two. The braiser with lid is very versatile - from risotto, bolognese, stir-fries, pasta dishes, braised meats, the list is endless really. I have even tested it with a sticky sago pudding and it just slid right out when it was done.

If I had to choose between the two I would definitely say the braiser is my favourite because it is so versatile. However, The frypan is equally divine. It cooks the perfect steak and eggs with ease.

I love that we don't have to cook with oil when using these products and the handles don't get hot which are fantastic. They also come with a limited lifetime warranty. You can feel and see the quality when using these products.

We love these so much we actually don't put them in the dishwasher. There is simply no need as they are so easy to clean. They can be put in the dishwasher but the manufacturer recommends you hand wash them to help preserve the quality.
